Talent is the differentiator and there is a major talent deficit in Nashville now.

People that started planning their merch tables before learning what a major scale was. Artists that worked on their image, stage moves, and social media before learning the mechanics of a good hook. This has happened over and over again and now we are in a shortage of musically skilled artists. Sure, there are skilled musicians here but to be led by an artist that doesn't really understand music is absolutely pathetic.

Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Prince, Bonnie Raitt, Aretha Franklin....ALLL these artists were VERY GIFTED musicians, some even playing every instrument on their record.

You might not think so but most of you need to go back to music school. Most of you need to continue growth and learning in your field. Because if you actually got serious about it, you could quickly be at the top of this giant heap of mediocrity.
